THE REAL TASTE OF INDIA..

THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL IN THE TEMPTING SMELL AND THE SIZZLING SMOKE EMANATING FROM THE STREETS OF INDIAN BYLANES.DESPITE THEĀ  MUSHROOMING OF TOWERING MALLS AND HOTELS,THE STREET OF INDIA HAS RETAINED THE REAL TASTE OF INDIAN FOOD.A LITTLE SPICY,A LITTLE CRUNCHY,A BIT CRISPY,DRIPPING WITH GHEE ENCAPSULATES THE ESSENCE OF WHAT INDIAN FOOD IS KNOWN FOR.

A few dacades back, dining out in a big air-conditioned malls or home delivery for food were not a common phenomenon. At that point of time,it were the street vendors who would provide people a break from the home cooked food.

Today the multi-cuisine outlets and specialised cuisine fine dining restaurants are dotted across all the metros of the country.however despite the availability of these multiple options,an india’s fascinating with street food has grown over the years.Walk across the any indian city and here’s what you will bump into-hordes of people standing around an array of street food vendors selling from a Kullad(earthen cup) full of milk or chai(tea) to chaat, bread pakoras, bhel puri, paav bhaji, balushahi, jalebis and samosas to rajma chawal(kidney beans curry and rice). The list of options is endless and so is the appetite of the street food enthusiasts.

The street food of india is an epitome of this country’s rih cultural diversity which has something new to offer daily to its tourist. In fact the popularity of this food is so much that many times the cities are even identified woth their street food specialties .So,as delhi visit would be incomplete without feasting on the endless varieties of chaats and goolgappas,The Mumbau experience is all about standing at the Chowpatty beach and digging into vada paav and paav bhajis even as the waves splash across your face.Go to Chennai and you can’t live without having the traditional fish curry and barota along with the strong filter coffee.Visit Kolkata and you cant miss the on-vegeterian rolls or the light and healthy jhaal moori.

Probably,it isthGOLGAPPASe old memories and its association with street food, which makes it special. Also because it is cooked right infront of your eyes and made in the authentic indian way is why people like taking its bite.I’s amazing how everyone forgets about safe drinking water while gulping down the tangy water of the golgappas.
